About Strawberry Plains Ä¢¹½Av Center

Learn about the center's history and staff.

Welcome to the Strawberry Plains Ä¢¹½Av Center—where nature and history meet. The center was founded when sisters Ruth Finley and Margaret Shackleford donated a 2,400-acre property to the Ä¢¹½Av in 1998.  Since then, Ä¢¹½Av has taken up management of additional DOT mitigation properties, expanding the managed acreage to 3,000. Ä¢¹½Av Delta is the regional Ä¢¹½Av office that manages Strawberry Plains.

Strawberry Plains Ä¢¹½Av Center has demonstrated how local conservation—through working lands and bird-friendly communities—enhances the welfare of wildlife and people. While at Strawberry Plains Ä¢¹½Av Center, you can hike the trails, view birds year-round, and explore a variety of woodland, grassland, and watershed habitats.
