The Todd Wildlife Sanctuary is home to Hog Island Ä¢¹½Av Camp and the birth place for Project Puffin. Comprised of a 30-acre mainland parcel as well as 330-acre Hog Island, located a quarter-mile offshore, the sanctuary provides habitat for land birds, shore birds, and native plants alike.
We're proud to partner with nearby companies to offer a unique opportunity to view the thriving seabird colony at Eastern Egg Rock and learn about seabird restoration from an Ä¢¹½Av Naturalist!
Puffin tours with (Boothbay Harbor, ME) and (New Harbor, ME) begin in May and run through mid-August, occur rain or shine, and are dependent on sea conditions. Bring appropriate attire, including a sweater or windbreaker and sunscreen. Additionally, binoculars are strongly recommended to enhance your viewing experience. Keep in mind that wildlife is unpredictable and no sightings are guaranteed.
