About
As a Restoration Ecologist based at Strawberry Plains Ä¢¹½Av Center, Carl has over 33 years of experience working in forests across Mississippi. Joining the Ä¢¹½Av team in June 2023, Carl leads habitat restoration efforts at Strawberry Plains Ä¢¹½Av Center, while also providing technical assistance to regional private landowners.
His foundational career spans 27 dedicated years of service as a forester for the State of Mississippi, where his primary focus centered on creating desired habitat conditions for state-owned lands. Carl brings that experience to Ä¢¹½Av’s mission of protecting birds and the places they need.
Carl has served as an officer for several prominent professional and grassroots forestry organizations. Outside of his professional work, he loves spending time with his family, traveling, fly fishing, and exploring the great outdoors.
